JCCP
is a non-governmental organization established in 1999 in Japan, with its
headquarters in Tokyo, Japan and field offices in Nairobi, Kenya and in Juba,
South Sudan. JCCP’s mission is to contribute to global peace and security by
building human capacity for conflict prevention and peace-building:
specializing in capacity building of NGOs and civil society, community
security, experts’ training in peacekeeping operations, peace-building
for civilians, police and military, protection of vulnerable people, education
and livelihood support.
JCCP’s Representative Office in Nairobi, Kenya seeks to engage an Intern for a period of 6 months. The Intern will work with the project team and will assist in field work as well as in managing hard data collected in the field and entering it into the database.
Requirements
·
Pursuing or just completed a minimum of
diploma or degree in a community work or related course;
·
Ability to work with community especially in
the informal settlement;
·
Ability to read handwritten scripts;
·
Fluency in English and Swahili;
·
Good command of computer applications,
Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and Microsoft Outlook;
·
Self motivated and ability to beat deadlines;
and
·
A team player with ability to build and
maintain relationships with supervisors, colleagues and partners.
