Details:
The
Constitution of Kenya (2010) guarantees several rights to the citizens of
Kenya. These rights extend to the people living with HIV: they include the
right to equality and non–discrimination.
KELIN,
UNDP and UNAIDS in partnership with the National AIDS Control Council (NACC)
have organized a free legal aid clinic as one of the side events on 1st
December,2013 to mark the World AIDS Day.
The
clinic is intended to give an opportunity to people living with HIV, and to the
public to get legal advice and counsel on HIV, the Law and Human Rights.
The
advice and counsel will be provided by a team of KELIN trained pro bono
lawyers, who will be in attendance.
